DH&CO. were engaged to oversee the construction phase of a project on behalf of the client. this scope included reviewing the builders progress payment claims, reviewing variations and managing the final design and shop drawings.
We identified that the builder was submitting final drawings for client sign off which deviated from the contract in an attempt to save costs without fairly passing on the cost saving to the client. The builders omission would have been un noticed until the works complete by the client, we were able to identify the discrepancy and therefore ensuring that the correct details were being submitted for approval and ultimately holding the builder accountable to deliver what had been priced.
